TRIVIA CHARADE!
- This is the first solo album from ColdmaN5. Following the departure of the disgraced Earthworm in Cowboy Hat in June of 2006, CheeseCoat McTafferson decided to carry on solo. This album, completed in August, but released in November, is the end result. Shortly after completing this album, however, CheeseCoat himself decided to call it quits. They would reunite in 2007, but would not release another record until the following year.
- Although this was the first solo record, it would not be the last: three of the band's next five releases would be Earthworm in Cowboy Hat solos.
- Even though all the music and lyrics were written by CheeseCoat McTafferson, Earthworm in Cowboy Hat nevertheless received "title" credits on a couple tracks (Steve Erwin Williams and Jeff Daniels in Juice Form to name a couple). This is because the they were previously-rejected titles from earlier sessions, which CheeseCoat used for these recordings.
- This CD represents Cheesecoat's take on the direction ColdmaN5 should have headed. Tired of the same formulas (nonsensical lyrics over pre-made loops, with lots of added stupidity), "New Line Cinnamon Presents" focuses more on the music, and experimentalism, rather than outright comedy. This is much to Earthworm's dismay, as he doesn't like this record. For CheeseCoat, it still remains one of his outright favorites.
- This is the first N5 album to have sequel tracks within the same album. It's also the first to have two consecutive tracks "lead in" to one another (The end of "(Out of) Tom Cruise (Control)" features a man flipping through channels, finally exclaiming, "Oh, I like this commercial!" Jeff Daniels in Juice Form, Part Two, which is the succeeding track, is then a commercial jingle for the juice beverage).
- The album's 17 tracks represent the most in a non-compilation ColdmaN5 CD.
- This is considered a "sequel" to 2005's "Steven Seagull, Richard Gecko, Dean Crane, and Russell Crow" (changed to "The Celebrity Album" for streaming services) in that each track focuses on a "celebrity", or popular historical figure.
- The style of "Lou Diamond Phillips" was based off the style of Wesley Willis.
- For their first Christmas together, CheeseCoat McTafferson burned a CD copy of every single ColdmaN5 album released up to that point, and gave the entire collection to his girlfriend. They were married less than two years later, in 2008, and are still married to this day. She has still never listened to them.
