TRIVIA DESTRUCTION!
- This disc, which is the third of 2006, was originally supposed to be pushed back to make way for a historically epic concept album, which followed one family's existence all throughout the course of time. Work began on the album, and after a few songs, CheeseCoat McTafferson became disgusted with the whole concept idea of the record. He wanted to cancel the project, but Earthworm in Cowboy Hat would only agree to postpone its release, refusing to cancel it altogether. After further discussions, Earthworm finally agreed to cancel it. Since then, CheeseCoat has lost all of his unreleased tracks in the Great Computer Crash of 1979, thus they will more than likely never see the light of day.
- The process for creating ColdmaN5 tracks are as follows: Earthworm and CheeseCoat come up with several titles, and narrow them down into a CD or two's worth. Then, they somehow evenly divide the titles amongst themselves, and record their share of the titles in their own spare time. For this album, each person got to choose which titles they wanted...with a twist. On top of the four they wanted, they each got to choose two horrible, lame titles. Titles that were so bad, they wouldn't normally make it onto an album. Then, they "gave" it to the other person, forcing them to turn the awful titles into songs. Which ones are the awful ones? CheeseCoat gave Earthworm "Sycamore Lightscratches" and "apparatusappendage". Earthworm gave CheeseCoat "Rocky Balbologna" and "Slivering Down the Acid Melts". In fact, the lyrics to "Slivering" deal with CheeseCoat being stuck with the title.
- The bands "Boombacher" and "Tommelly Jones", mentioned on the track "Best Adapted Song Goes to...Sanigizer Plus" are references to actual "bands". Tommelly Jones was created by Earthworm and CheeseCoat back in 2004, with the idea that it would be a serious project (though it would also use pre-made loops, rather than original music). It folded after one single, the godawful "Baby in the Backseat." Boombacher is a solo effort from Earthworm in Cowboy Hat, created during downtime between CDs from ColdmaN5. The name comes from a failed ColdmaN5 title, "Chili McBoombacher."
- It took bandmate CheeseCoat McTafferson over a year to realize that the band name Tommelly Jones, (which mixes the last names of their real-life alter ego's) was a play off of Tommy Lee Jones, the actor.
- Similarly, it took Earthworm over five years to learn who Millard Fillmore was.
